I am a South Florida native, educator, investor, and author. I received my Bachelors degree in International Affairs from Florida State University, then my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida Atlantic University.
I have been teaching High school and Middle school Social Science for almost seven years. Courses spanning the variety of History offerings (World, U.S., Latin American, and African American History), Economics and Personal Finance (W!SE Certified).
My passion is Personal Finance and Investing. I love educating both 1-1 and groups on the basics of building wealth! My dad started my interest in investing years ago and from there I took my own journey gaining more knowledge and building my own six-figure portfolio. I realized that Personal Finance and Investing aren't talked about enough in the Black and Millennial communities and that's where my passion to spread that knowledge comes from. Many of us were taught to “get that good job”, “get money” and “live happily ever after” but it’s not that simple. We have to change our money mindset. Often, we DO make enough money to do what we want, we just can’t do everything we want at the same exact time; so prioritizing goals and creating a budget are important to me.
